Teaching your children proper Chinese grammar is a vital part of Chinese fluency. However, teaching children grammar doesn’t have to be tedious or boring. Today’s activities will focus on classifiers which count nouns, because it is a very simple way to make your children sound more like native speakers.
Since most non-native speakers default to the classifier 個/gè/ for everything, we will slowly introduce different classifiers to your children via three simple activities.
Depending on the age of your child, you can increase or decrease the difficulty level of the activity by using pictures instead of character cards to match the classifier cards; having more character cards and/or classifier word cards; and adding multi-character words. If your children are really young, you may want to use picture cards instead of character cards.
For your older kids, you may can have them earn bonus points by suggesting additional characters for the classifier word cards.
Depending on the age of your child, you can increase or decrease the difficulty level of the activity by using a bigger or smaller grid, characters that can be paired with multiple classifiers, or adding classifiers. If your children are really young, you may want to use pictures instead of characters on the BINGO sheets.
Again, depending on the age of your child, you can increase or decrease the difficulty level of the activity by using pictures instead of character cards to match the classifier word cards; increasing the number of character cards and/or classifier word cards; and adding multi-character words. If your children are really young, you may want to use picture cards instead of character cards.
You can also increase the difficulty level by having more classifiers than character cards or vice versa.
我們希望能看到你的孩子做這些遊戲的照片或影片,也希望能聽到你的意見或提問。更歡迎加入我們的【講媽 ⦁ 講爸】Facebook 群組,我們等你喔

Don’t let perfection get in the way of good enough.
Many of our activities can seem intimidating if you tend towards perfectionism. But truthfully, they can be done in a quick and slapdash sort of manner. If you note, the BINGO card made was not fancy – it was just handwritten on a piece of paper.
Do what you need to get something done. Don’t worry about how pretty it is or “should be.” If your child can understand or use it, it’s perfect.
