
Welcome back to our weekly series, where we are sharing learning tips to help your child build better learning abilities and strengthen their positive mindset.

Last week, we discussed mindset through play & relatability. This week, we will discuss mindset through movement.
We often don’t realise that mindset work for small children isn’t just by doing some “thinking” or any sort of mind work. When children move, and when they do what they love, they feel happier and more relaxed.
上星期的主題是透過玩耍加強孩子與自然和環境的關連感。而這次的主題是身體活動怎麼影響心態。
我們經常會以為即使對孩子來說,心態修養只是「思考」或是一些用腦的活動。其實不然。當孩子活動時,特別是當他們做自己喜歡的事時,他們總會比較快樂,也會比較放鬆心情。
那麼,能修養心態的身體活動是怎樣的呢?
One way of teaching your child the mindset they need is by teaching them how to move their body. By learning how to move properly, your child will learn better posture, which will help them stand up straight and tall. This will help them feel more confident in themselves and their abilities.
要教導孩子持有正確的心態,可以從學習各種端正的基本動作做起。當他們的動作端正了,他們的坐姿和站立的姿勢也就會端正。他們很自然地會對自己更有自信。
Encourage them to play outside as much as possible—even if it’s just for an hour a day. Go on walks together, play tag or other games that involve running around. Moving while in nature can help your child feel more grounded, rested, and it promotes better sleep, which contributes to a positive mindset.
多鼓勵孩子盡量在戶外 (並不是商場喔) 活動,即使每天只有一小時也好。你們可以一起散步、玩追逐或任何要走動的遊戲。在大自然的環境中活動,孩子當然會感到自己「腳踏實地」。他也會感到更安心,晚上還能睡得好,那就自然能有更積極的心態了。
Exercising with your kids is a great way to bond with them while getting some exercise yourself. If you make exercise a part of your daily routine, you’ll both start to look forward to it! Try waking up early together every morning, or going for a walk after dinner every night. It doesn’t have to be complicated, and it helps release endorphins, which are key for the brain’s wellbeing and happiness.
和孩子一起運動操fit,是增進親子感情的必勝招數。當這樣做運動成為了你們生活的一部分,你和孩子都會對每天的這種親子運動時間產生一種期待。早上提早起床也好,或是利用晚餐後的時間,都是排出時間的可行方法。「做做運動」雖說簡單,卻還能促進身體分泌更多的內啡肽。而內啡肽正是令大腦快樂健康的荷爾蒙。
The key to mindset through movement is to remember that it doesn’t have to be complicated. It’s about establishing a routine, as any movement contributes to relieving stress. Introducing movement with various activities before, during breaks, and after learning can also make it more enjoyable for your child. Come back next week, when we’ll discuss mindset through singing.
以活動形式修養心態的一個要訣是簡單,但要將它變成一種規律。身體活動可以驅除壓力。當你在孩子的學習時間之前或之後,又或是中間小休的時間加入一些體能的活動,必定能令孩子感到更輕鬆有趣。
