Challenges and contests effectively promote lifelong learning, as they help build anticipation and excitement.
Reading challenges encourage children to read more regularly, which can help them improve their literacy skills, such as vocabulary, comprehension, and writing. Participating in a reading challenge can also teach children how to develop and work towards goals. They might feel a feeling of success and pride as they measure their development and see their reading time rise.
Not to mention that reading challenges frequently include prompts or questions that urge students to think critically about the material they are reading. This can aid in the development of critical analytical and problem-solving skills for the future.
We’re so excited to announce our International Children Basic Chinese Reading Contest, happening from August 11th to August 20th, 2023. This contest is happening online and is open worldwide.
Children who engage in a reading challenge are exposed to a wide range of words and characters that they might not have encountered otherwise, or that they may skip over if they find it too difficult.
Everything from the competition brochures to preparation courses can be found here, on our website. Our competition preparation courses include everything your child will need to prepare for this contest, and your child will be able to use these tools before and after the competition. Participants will have a chance to win various awards and prizes.
Be sure to save the date for our 2023 International Children Basic Chinese Reading Contest this summer!
A reading challenge can be a great way to encourage children to read more, develop their literacy skills, set goals, and have fun while doing it. We can’t wait to see you participate and see your children grow their skills.
